Creamy Avocado Ranch Dressing

I’m not a real lover of ranch dressing, but I really like this one. Do not use Tabasco hot pepper sauce (too spicy).  


1  ripe, large Hass avocado
1/2  tsp  hot pepper sauce (I use Tapatio brand)
1  Tbs  fresh lime juice
1/2  cup   buttermilk
1/4  cup   mayonnaise
1  Tbs  minced red onion
1  Tbs  minced fresh cilantro
1   med garlic clove, minced
1/2  tsp  sugar
3/4  tsp  salt
1/4  tsp  pepper

Scoop the flesh out of the avocado. In a food processor, puree avocado, hot sauce, and lime juice until avocado is broken down, about 30 seconds. Add remaining ingredients and process until dressing is completely smooth. Chill. Can be kept up to one week, refrigerated.
