Pumpkin Pie Squares

1  cup  sifted flour
1/2  cup  quick cooking oatmeal
1/2  cup  brown sugar, packed
1/2  cup  butter or margarine
1  can (16 oz)   pumpkin 
1  can (13½ oz)  evaporated milk
2  eggs
3/4  cup  sugar
1/2  tsp  salt
1  tsp  cinnamon
1/2  tsp  ginger
1/4  tsp  ground cloves
1/2  cup  chopped pecans
1/2  cup  brown sugar, packed
2  Tbs  butter or margarine

Combine flour, oats, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1/2 cup butter. Mix until crumbly and press into an ungreased 13x9x2” pan. Bake @ 350° for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, combine pumpkin, milk, eggs, sugar, salt, and spices. Pour onto hot crust. Return to the oven and bake 20 minutes. 


Meanwhile, combine pecans, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 2 Tbs butter. Sprinkle over the baked
pumpkin filling. Return to the oven and bake an additional 15-20 minutes, or until filling is set.

Cool in pan on a rack. Cut into 2” squares for serving.
