Crème Fraîche Frosting

From my friend, Jan Williams, this is my kind of icing. Not too sweet . . . smooth and creamy. Use it for a filling as well.


1  cup  whipping cream
8  oz  sour cream
1-1/4  cup  powdered sugar
1  tsp  vanilla

Combine all ingredients and beat on medium speed with an electric mixer, until soft peaks form. Use as a frosting and filling.
